The International Master Program in AIoT provides a specialized and unified view of the industry-oriented research field, aiming to prepare the students to be highly skilled analyzers, designers and developers of both the software and hardware aspects for various industry related systems and applications in the context of AI and IoT. By enrolling in this program, the students will interact with people from several distinct countries, with diverse cultural backgrounds to promote globalization and technological development based on students’ choices and expectations.
The curriculum of the Master program in AIoT encompasses a blend of core courses, elective courses, and a research project or thesis component. Core courses and elective courses delve into the following subjects and applications, among others:
- Machine Learning Algorithms: A comprehensive exploration of diverse machine learning algorithms, encompassing supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
- Embedded Systems: geared towards learning the design and programming of application dedicated computing systems. It involves the design of hardware systems using micro controllers and creating custom software that interfaces with the surrounding environment.
- Internet of Things: providing the students with the up-to-date information about the IoT applications, network protocol, system design and implementation. Students are expected to gain hands on experience by applying the taught knowledge into realistic projects.
- Networks and Communication: Fundamental concepts of the infrastructure and the operation of the Internet, following the TCP/IP Protocol stack.
- Big Data Analysis: provide students with the fundamental knowledge about how to deal with big data related operations such as data processing, storage and how to extract useful trends and observations from Big Data, which greatly help decision makers in taking the right decision.
The Master Program is a collaborative effort among EU and MENA countries for the establishment of an International Master program in AIoT, with nine partners: University of Siegen (Germany), University of Hertfordshire (UK), Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), German Jordanian University, Tafila Technical University, Al-Quds University (Palestine), Palestine Technical College (Palestine), University of Sfax (Tunisia), and University of Carthage (Tunisia).
