On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the opening of this year's uniKino series took place. The GLC presented the film “Zwischen uns die Mauer” (Between Us the Wall). The film, which deals with the impact of the Berlin Wall and the division of Germany on interpersonal relationships, encouraged attendees to engage with historical, social, and cultural themes.
The aim of the event was to create a cozy setting and, through the shared cinema experience, to provide a platform for learning new information about German culture and history as well as for the exchange of ideas. The event once again highlighted how films can serve as powerful tools for intercultural dialogue, creating pathways that promote dialogue and understanding.
