University of Jordan 17-18 November 2024
As part of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation Championships for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the German Jordanian University (GJU) Track and Field Team, represented by 27 students, actively participated in the competitions.
The team competed in most of the events held at the University of Jordan Stadium under the supervision of Coach Mais Al-Ajarmeh from the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA).
Events included 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 300m, and 500m races, hurdles, relay races, and field events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin throw, discus throw, and shot put.
Coach Al-Ajarmeh described the experience as both beneficial and enjoyable for the students, fostering a sense of competition and motivation to participate in future sports activities and championships.
It is noteworthy that this annual championship is part of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation’s plan, with participation from 21 public and private universities, represented by 400 male and female students.
