Project Description:

The GJRC-IH project aims to establish a sustainable German-Jordanian Research Cluster focused on advancing the field of Intelligent Healthcare Informatics (IHI). This initiative brings together the Institute for Biostatistics and Informatics in Medicine and Ageing Research at Rostock University Medical Center (Germany) and the German Jordanian University (Jordan) to foster interdisciplinary collaboration in digital health, medical informatics, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Funded under the DAAD Ta’ziz Short-Term Measures 2024 program, the project is designed to:

  • Promote academic and research exchange between German and Jordanian institutions
  • Enhance capacity building through workshops, training, and collaborative research
  • Facilitate the co-development of smart health solutions tailored to local and regional healthcare challenges
  • Increase visibility and outreach through a targeted marketing campaign for the IHI program
  • Lay the groundwork for future long-term partnerships in the digital health sector

This project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) using funds from the German Federal Foreign Office (AA).
