Biography

Prof. Dr. Ralf Roßkopf is Professor of Law at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS), Faculty of Applied Social Sciences, Germany, since 2010. In addition, he is a visiting professor at the German Jordanian University (GJU), Faculty of Applied Humanities and Languages, Amman, Jordan. Before joining academia, he practiced law as a partner in a law firm and a lawyer specializing in public and social law.

His main expertise is in international, public and social law with a strong emphasis on immigration law and human rights. Being affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences, interdisciplinary collaboration is a core interest and allows it to also participate in empirical research, science and (international) social work projects.

Among others, he is editor-in-chief of the Quarterly Review on Refugee Problems - AWR Bulletin (QRP), Germany (ISSN: 2750-7882); President of the Association for the Study of the World Refugee Problem (AWR), German Section e. Roßkopf has extensive experience in managing higher education institutions, having been myself. A. Vice President and Dean of the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Germany, and the German Jordanian University, Amman, Jordan. He was responsible for the development and management of several study programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as examination and data protection committees. Thanks to this experience, he also worked as a consultant at the international level.
