Objective: Aspen plus lab is the practical part of the pharmaceutical plant design course. In this lab, the student can do a simulation for the entire lifecycle of a process covering the following levels of details: conceptual engineering, basic engineering, detailed engineering, and finally plant operations and revamps. Therefore, this software is important for any chemical engineer.
Syllabus: The following topics are covered: getting started with process simulation, thermodynamic models and physical properties, pressure changer, heat exchangers, flowsheet analysis, reactors, and equilibrium separation column.
