RSCE director, professor Mohammad hamed participated in the 2nd International Conference on Integrated Natural Disaster Management (ICINDM‐2022) at Jordan July (20‐21), 2022 where he gave a presentation titled: "Traffic congestion ‐may be a thing of the past". The presentation discussed the concept of the "Liveable city" and addressed key challenges related to car crashes and traffic congestions. It also discussed the human dimensions in the context of traffic safety and the effect of human choices, distraction and errors in addition to stress and fatigue. The presentation also explored available options when it comes to human behavior. Autonomous & Shared Autonomous Vehicles were also a main part of the presentation and were addressed in terms of their benefits on road safety and congestions.
