Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL-99) is a pre-beginner course designed for learners with no prior knowledge of Arabic. The course introduces the language gradually, focusing on basic communication skills and essential cultural awareness in everyday contexts.
Course Description
This course develops foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the CEFR A1.1 level. Students are introduced to the Arabic alphabet, sounds, and simple structures while practicing Arabic through guided, real-life situations such as greetings, introductions, numbers, time, and daily interactions. Learning is communicative, supported by short dialogues, controlled practice, and cultural exposure.
Course Objectives
The course aims to:
