The Arabic Core Program is the main academic track offered by the Arabic Language and Culture Center (ALCC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU). The program is designed to guide learners through a structured progression that integrates Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Jordanian/Levantine Colloquial Arabic, following international proficiency standards set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
The program focuses on the four core language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while integrating grammar instruction and cultural awareness throughout the learning process. Students develop functional communication skills within real-life contexts and gain insight into Arabic and Jordanian culture.
