Planting Almond Tree Initiative by Magdeburg-Stendal University
The Water and Green Environment Section at CDSD supervised Planting Almond Tree Initiative led by Magdeburg-Stendal University, the strategic partner of the German Jordanian University (GJU), the two universities celebrated the planting of a number of almond trees on the GJU campus, as part of an effort to promote sustainability and a greener environment.
 

 

2025 Comprehensive maintenance works on the main campus & Jabal Amman campus

 

CDSD oversaw the 2025 general maintenance work at both the main campus and the Jabal Amman campus, in accordance with the necessary inspection requirements for maintaining campus infrastructure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Expansion of building (C) to increase the number of teaching rooms

The Campus Development and Sustainability Department oversaw the expansion works of Building (C) to increase the number of teaching rooms in the building, which included adding a new floor to increase the number of teaching halls in the building, equipped with modern furniture and Data Show devices.

Offices redesigning and redistribution in building (A) & (M)
CDSD supervised the works of redesigning and relocating the offices in Buildings (A) and (M) to improve the utilization of available offices space to enhance workflow, efficiency and better collaboration among the employees. The project implemented by Bayt Al-Yaqeen Engineering and Contracting Company. 
Outdoor Works for the parking lot (H)

CDSD has developed Parking Lot (H) to provide a comfortable and attractive outdoor space for students, a project executed by Hascon Contracting. This project aims to create a pleasant and inviting outdoor area for students to engage in their activities and enhance their university experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Installation of Sliding Doors for main Buildings

Replacing doors with electric ones in most buildings aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and facilitate better access throughout the campus.

 

Battery Recycling Laboratory Project
The Campus Development and Sustainability Department oversaw the construction of a battery recycling lab, a project undertaken by Hamza Abu Aisha Construction Company. This included equipping the lab with the necessary equipment to conduct training workshops for students.
 
 
Establishing Nursing college laboratories in building (M)
The Campus Development and Sustainability Department oversaw the expansion works of Building (M), which included the addition of a new fully equipped floor for the College of Nursing, which includes modern and advanced laboratories designed to provide practical training for students.

Supervising the preparation of the site for the graduation ceremony of the fifteenth cohort
Campus Development and Sustainability Department supervised the preparation of the site for the graduation ceremony of the fifteenth cohort, the “Silver Jubilee Cohort,” in an exceptional ceremony that coincided with the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the university. The Sport hall was prepared to receive invitees and families of graduating students.
The Technology, Research and Innovation Park (TRIP), Nov 2024

CDSD oversaw the renovation of the Technology, Research and Innovation Park (TRIP), which was inaugurated on November 12, 2024, under the patronage of King Abdullah II. The complex aims to enhance the university's leadership in technology and research at the German Jordanian University and contribute to scientific advancement in Jordan and support the Jordanian economy growth.

 

A practical exercise to simulate a mock fire at the main campus in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate
The Campus Development and Sustainability Department, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate in Madaba, organized a practical exercise to simulate a mock fire at the university. The training witnessed a virtual fire breaking out in the building, where the necessary procedures for extinguishing the fire and evacuating the injured and detainees were reviewed.

 

Digital Fabrication Lab

Campus Development and Sustainability Department oversaw the design and implementation of the Digital Fabrication Lab in Building C

Industrial Revolution Laboratory
Maintenance of the main waterwheel on the main campus

CDSD supervised the maintenance project for the main waterwheel on the main Campus, which was implemented by Phi Contracting Company.

The Expansion of the Jabal Amman Campus (Alsabbagh Building), June 2024

 

Campus Development and Sustainability Department supervised the new expansion of the Jabal Amman Campus.

The expansion included equipping the consultations and training center, and halls for start-up projects. The building will also provide modern training hall for student graduation projects, especially for postgraduate studies.

Three glass boxes were constructed in Jabal amman campus for multi purpose :

Water Tower Tank

This building is composed of elevated water tank with 500 m³ capacity, and underground water tank with 1200 m³ capacity. This tower has also cafeteria and exhibitions in the upper floors.

Building A

This building provides the whole campus with internet & network services. The ED designed an additional floor in this building in order to accommodate more departments.

Building B

This project contains two main buildings covered by natural cladding of local stones and connected with glass & steel links .The ED built a multipurpose hall on the roof (Link Area) between the two wings in order to use it as Exhibition Hall.

Building C

This School is composed of three wings with five stories covered by natural cladding of local stones. The stories are connected together with glass & steel links to maintain their strength on the long run. This building contains special laboratories, classrooms, computer labs, workshops, and theater. All of these facilities have enough space to be equipped with 100 staff members.
