Dr. Rana Al-Mahmoud
Dr. Rana Husni Al Mahmoud is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at German Jordanian University (GJU). Her research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Ontologies. Dr. Al Mahmoud received her B.Sc. degree from Hashemite University, Jordan, in 2000, followed by her M.Sc. degree from the University of Jordan, Jordan, in 2002. She completed her Ph.D. degree at The University of Jordan, Jordan, in 2020. With over a decade of teaching experience in computer science subjects, Dr. Al Mahmoud has a deep passion for education. Additionally, she has made significant contributions as a Data Scientist Researcher and Software Developer (R&D) at TooT, a leading digital media company. In this role, she led the development of various AI projects and Data Engineering models, with a primary focus on Arabic deep learning and NLP. Dr. Al Mahmoud's dedication to both academia and industry exemplifies her commitment to advancing the fields of NLP, Machine Learning, and Data Mining.
