Dr. Alnaief is working currently as an Operation and Commissioning Manager of the Entrepreneurial Uranium Extraction Plant at Jordanian Uranium Mining Company (JUMCO), Jordan. In addition, he is affiliated with the German Jordanian University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering. Currently, his research focused on uranium hydrometallurgy processes, plant operational modes, feasibility studies, and all related optimization and management processes. Moreover, he is working on producing and tailoring nanoporous materials (aerogel) to be used as a smart drug delivery vehicle. Tailoring and improving the mechanical properties of different hybrid aerogels/nanofibers is another field of research interest where he tests the use of hybrid aerogels in renewable energy applications, catalyst applications, and water purification systems.
