STUDYING ON THE ISLAND OF PEACE

INSIGHTS INTO THE GERMAN-JORDANIAN UNIVERSITY

THE PODCAST

The podcast series "STUDYING ON THE ISLAND OF PEACE - INSIGHTS INTO THE GERMAN-JORDANIAN UNIVERSITY" is a series of interviews in which people whose hearts beat for Germany and Jordan have their say. Since August 1, 2004, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences has been the sponsor of the "German Jordanian University" (GJU) project and has played a leading role in establishing the university of the same name in Amman. With its responsibility for promoting the German dimension of the German-Jordanian University (GJU), Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is leading one of the most important projects in the foreign science policy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mady Host, a journalist, is a graduate of the h2 and has been working as an entrepreneur in the creative industry since 2012. She grabbed her microphone and traveled through Germany and Jordan to produce a 6-part miniseries. She spoke to funders, alumna, network partners, teachers and others involved to paint a comprehensive picture of this extraordinary international education project. Mady wanted to know what drives people to get involved with GJU, even to emigrate to Jordan, and she wanted to find out what it takes for education to work across national borders. She conducted her interviews in a lively atmosphere, like amidst the ruins of an old desert castle or over hookah and tea. Podcast Website
