Visiting Professor
from Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences to the German Jordanian University (GJU)

The German Jordanian University is a Jordanian state university that is modelled on German universities of applied sciences and is currently particularly dedicated to research and the expansion of its research profile. It was opened in Amman in 2005. Approximately 5,000 students are currently enrolled at GJU. All Bachelor students at GJU spend one year of their studies in Germany, for which they receive linguistic and cultural preparation in the first three years of study. The "German Dimension" thus plays a central role in all degree programmes at GJU.

For the Federal Government and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, GJU is one of their most important international higher education projects, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service within the framework of the programme "Transnational Education - Promotion of Binational Higher Education Institutions" (TNE). On the German side, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is the project-leading university.
